The examples below come from the revised workbook. The figures and situations are invented teaching examples, not repair-price estimates or owner stories.
“I’ve paid $300. How much can I still spend?”
You set a $1,200 limit for one stage. You have approved $840 of work and parts, and already paid $300 of that amount.

You have $360 of room, not $900. Another $540 is already promised. The blank budget page helps you record the same distinction for your own project.

Quote B is $85 lower after the missing items are included. The workbook gives you questions to ask each shop and a page for comparing the answers. You still need to consider the written scope, experience, timing, and terms.
“Where did I leave off last weekend?”
In the completed session log on page 17, two door-seal listings have different profiles. The useful next step is: email the supplier photos 021–026, ask which dimensions are needed, and save the answer with the order records.
That is easier to restart than a note saying “order seals.” The blank version leaves room for what you did, what is unresolved, money approved, and the next session.
